This week Invest Pacific accompanied a delegation of 15 Austrian entrepreneurs that arrived in the city to see the competitive advantages of our region. The interest of this visit began back in the month of November with the familiarization trip organized by Invest Pacific with the presence of the Austrian ambassador.
The agenda started with a tour around the facilities of CIAT, International Center of Tropical Agriculture located in Palmira, Valle del Cauca. There, the entrepreneurs were able to see the conservation processes implemented with cassava, beans and forage. They were also introduced to the plans carried out to protect the world’s biodiversity with a seed bank.
After that visit, the delegation went to MM-Packaging, an Austrian company installed in the region, focused on design and package printing services. Finally, they visited the Free Trade Zone Parque Sur, where the HeroCorp plant is located.
This mission was created with the purpose of contributing to position Valle del Cauca as the ideal department for foreign investment. The underlying idea of these visits was to show the reasons why to invest in the region, such as its geostrategic location, world-class entrepreneurship, solid infrastructure and connectivity, qualified human talent, quality of life, and competitive prices.
This visit of Austrian entrepreneurs was a great example of how attractive and interesting the department of Valle del Cauca is. It is expected that more delegations from other countries will continue arriving in the region.
