Newsletter 46 – TaskUs celebrates its second year of operations in Cali
• TaskUs is a leading American multinational in digital enterprise services and digital CX solutions for the world’s most innovative companies.
TaskUs is a new but disruptive player in the BPO sector in Colombia, prioritizing a ‘People First’ culture for its employees. The company arrived in Cali in March 2021, with the support of Invest Pacific and the institutional ecosystem in the region, in its process of consolidation, talent acquisition, and growth.
Its operation started 100% virtually and opened its first office called ‘The Arena’ in June 2022, located in the north of Cali, ensuring a successful transition from work-from-home to office operations. The company has adopted an approach that prioritizes people, offering all its employees, regardless of rank, access to prepaid medical care, dental plans, and life insurance, all with 100% coverage.
In addition, TaskUs also offers other programs accessible to employees to promote a healthy lifestyle. All of this has resulted in TaskUs Colombia receiving one of the highest employee satisfaction scores among all company locations worldwide by the end of 2022.
TaskUs has been consistently recognized by different organizations for its people-first culture and positive workplace experience. TaskUs Colombia won a bronze medal at the annual CX Interaction Awards 2022 in the category of Best Human Capital Management for providing outstanding employee benefits. In early 2023, TaskUs Cali was awarded by the Colombian American Chamber of Commerce and the Presidential Agency for International Cooperation of Colombia (APC) at an event presenting the results of the “Empleo Hay” program to the Presidency of the Republic of Colombia, for its support of the program and commitment to generating employment for young people between 18 and 28 years old.

In December 2022, TaskUs joined TEDx Cali to discuss the impact of bilingualism in the region and the capabilities and opportunities it provides for people from Cali.

One of its initiatives is ‘The Academy,’ a preparation and mentoring program for aspiring leaders. The program leverages the company’s coaching culture to guide employees in ascending the corporate ladder.
As part of the company’s commitment to local growth and development, TaskUs has also actively participated in social initiatives in the city. In October 2022, a group of volunteers took part in the Gran Sembratón Nacional 2022, restoring the basins of the Arroyohondo and Cali rivers.
