TaskUs celebrates the opening of the first site in Colombia
• The people-first company prepares for a Ridiculously Good on-site experience for employees at The Arena.
TaskUs (Nasdaq: TASK), a provider of outsourced digital services and next-generation customer experience to fast-growing technology companies, opened the doors of its Cali office, “The Arena” to employees today. A ceremonial ribbon-cutting event was held where teammates and guests personally experienced the unrivaled workplace facilities that TaskUs teammates can enjoy as they begin working on-site.
“As we embrace the new normal, we now have hundreds of employees that are finally coming to The Arena,” said Guillermo Ulloa, TaskUs Colombia Vice President of Operations. “The feedback from our teammates has been very positive. They love the colors, the lighting, the sports-themed lobby, and the soccer field! They are also very much looking forward to physically working alongside their fellow teammates and experiencing everything our site facilities have to offer.”
TaskUs Colombia started its operations in March 2021 on a purely Work@Home setup. And with the opening of The Arena and easing of COVID-19 restrictions, TaskUs is currently working to ensure a successful transition from Work@Home to on-site operations by providing ridiculously fun activities. This is on top of wellness support for teammates to navigate this transition period.
The Arena features bright, collaborative, and modern workspaces, including recreational areas such as a gym, a cafe, meditation rooms, and game rooms for all employees to use. It is strategically located in the north of the city with easy access to public transportation. The site is also close to the Chipichape Mall, where teammates can also have their meals or just simply unwind after work.

With the arrival of big players in the Contact Center sector, Cali is consolidating into an international hub for BPO operations. One of them is TaskUs, which has had the support of Invest Pacific -the investment promotion agency of Valle del Cauca in its consolidation in the region.
Invest Pacific was present during the opening ceremony among key regional partners including the Mayor’s Office with the Secretary of Economic Development, ProColombia, ProPacífico, the Valle del Cauca Government and others.
