In 2014 the well-known company Unilever launches, the most modern powder detergent manufaturer in the world, located in Palmira, with great technological innovation in soap processing and production, with a sustainable and with a green design. It is the third largest plant in Colombia and supplies the region(Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Central America). With this site they aim to improve the health and weelbeing of millions of people while achieving a sustaineable surrounding that is also friendly with the environment.

Also in this city there are the personal care products site and the National Logistics Center, while in Cali there is the food plant, thus validating the corporate and financial trust of Unilever in Valle del Cauca. In 2016 a reinvestment of USD$4.500.000 was made, to confirm its trust in the sector.
